# VASP

Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) – means a legal entity established in Poland, or a branch of a legal entity of a Member State of the European Union or a foreign country established in Poland

A VASP facilitates activities with virtual assets, such as cryptocurrencies. VASP Activities include exchanging virtual assets for fiat currency, exchanging fiat currency for virtual assets and transferring virtual assets.

VASPs are subject to anti-money laundering (AML) and counter-terrorist financing (CTF) regulations, including customer due diligence and suspicious activity reporting (SAR).
